JCPIT Support has been helping Australian businesses with their technology since 2010, built on over two decades of hands-on industry experience dating back to 2004. What started as a local IT support business has evolved into a specialist cybersecurity partner for small and medium businesses across Australia.

Based in Croydon, Victoria, we understand the unique challenges that small businesses face — limited budgets, small teams, and the growing pressure to protect against threats that were once only a concern for large enterprises. We built JCPIT Support to bridge that gap, giving every Australian business access to the same calibre of cybersecurity protection that big corporations have — without the complexity, the jargon, or the massive price tag.

The People Behind JCPIT

Jake Paternoster

Founder & Managing Director

Jake has been working in the IT industry since 2004, starting with hands-on technical roles at GPK Computers and Screwloose before founding JCPIT Support in 2010. With a Network Engineering qualification from Swinburne University of Technology, he brings over two decades of real-world experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.

What sets Jake apart is his ability to translate complex security concepts into plain English that business owners actually understand. He has watched the threat landscape evolve from basic viruses to sophisticated ransomware and phishing campaigns — and built JCPIT Support to give small businesses the same calibre of protection that large enterprises have, without the complexity or the massive price tag.

Based in Croydon, Victoria, Jake works directly with every client to understand their business, assess their risks, and put the right protection in place. He believes cybersecurity should not keep business owners up at night — and that is exactly the problem JCPIT Support was built to solve.

When he's not protecting businesses from cyber threats, Jake is out on the basketball court, hiking, camping under the stars, or tackling 4WD tracks across Victoria. He's also a proud member of the Pajero Club.

Kelly Thomas

Financial Accountant

Kelly brings extensive financial expertise to JCPIT Support, managing the company's accounts, invoicing, and financial operations. As a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business, she combines sharp financial acumen with a people-first approach.

With experience across multiple industries — from construction and events to electrical services — Kelly understands the financial realities of Australian businesses. Her ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable insights helps JCPIT Support maintain transparent, straightforward billing that our clients appreciate. While the technical team focuses on keeping your business secure, Kelly ensures the numbers add up and everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Kelly is an avid trail runner and hiker who loves tackling mountains and remote tracks. When she's not crunching numbers or chasing summits, you'll find her exploring off the beaten track in her 4WD. Like Jake, she's a member of the Pajero Club.
